Sports Specific Training's Vertical Jump Training program is tailored for athletes of all ages. Should an 8 year old athlete be following the same program as a 20 year old? NO! Thus, SST personalizes programs for all ages.
Sports Specific Training determines what program you should follow after conducting a comprehensive muscular assessment to determine strengths and weaknesses of the athlete. The principle fitness component of vertical jumping is power.
Power is a combination of strength and speed (Power = Strength x Speed). SST will use a 3 step approach to increase your vertical jump:"
SST's first priority is to strengthen weaker muscles in order to reduce the risk of injury while achieving better overall strength and performance. Due to the demands on basketball players many imbalances occur and the potential for INJURY exists. Potential injury sites include ankles and knees.
